CRECER students have to adapt to a new culture in addition to their fieldwork experience. While this is often challenging, our students report feeling more self-aware and equipped for employment after their time in Ecuador.
Incomplete development of cultural competency can cause students to experience dissatisfaction and frustration with international experiences.
These modules are a required self-study program for incoming Level II Fieldwork students and are recommended for other students. The program includes content specific to CRECER and instructional methods to help prepare clinically and culturally competent therapists.
